From Kentucky we drove to South Carolina to visit Joanna’s brother Chris and sister in law Chelsea who recently moved to Charleston. On the way we stopped in the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. This was the location of Joanna’s first climbing trip 7 years ago, so it was nice to go back. It was a bit cold to climb on Looking Glass Rock, so we hiked to the summit instead.

Steve and George enjoy the views of the Blue Ridge Mountain.

After Pisgah National forest we headed to Charleston. Here we toured the Magnolia Plantation, downtown Charleston, and Shem Creek with our fantastic tour guides Chelsea, Chris, and Bambi.
